Lee Fields & the Expressions will be back in Brooklyn, this time at the Music Hall of Williamsburg! Opening for Lee will be the Menahan Street Band featuring Charles Bradley. Come check out two of the best soul acts today as they share one stage. DJs Akalepse (Truth & Soul) and JBX (Big City Records, Lost & Found Crew) will be spinning throughout the night. Doors at 8 pm, show at 9 pm. Tickets are $15 advance/$18 day of show.

Tune in to HBO's new series, How To Make it In America, Sundays at 10:00 pm. The show features the theme song "I Need A Dollar" by Aloe Blacc, which was produced by Jeff Silverman and Leon Michels, founders of Truth & Soul. The Aloe Blacc full-length record, Good Things, featuring The Expressions & El Michels Affair as the backing band, will be released later this year on Stones Throw Records. "I Need A Dollar" is now available on iTunes & the 12-inch vinyl for “Dollar” will be in stores April 2010.
